An Interesting Instinct

A game is under way.
Number of players unknown.

Cards levitate in mid air is all you see.
Who’s turn is it now after ‘it’; me

They seem to razzle dazzle their way through.
Not knowing what’s in store for them.

The rules they bend,
Whenever they can,
Even on a bid that’s only worth a single cent.

I pity them, or is it just you?
For it takes me no where,
If that I do.

You blind me with thoughts,
Like a double edged sword.

To put this down,
Or the other one?
Which of these will end up leaving on me a frown?
Prepare I will for the worse.
Be it a blessing or a curse.

I seem to be losing,
With many in hand.
Down I will go,
By putting on a show,
With me many I’ll bring for that I’m sure.

My instincts will either prove me right,
Or I might end up waving a flag of white.

Turn is yours his hers whoever it is,
Busy you say doing other things.
But a game is under way from what I see.

You players will feel it too,
When my turn comes,
And later on,
I do it to you.

The game is not over.
And it will never be.
For tricks are played for the queen of hearts to see.

The house always wins,
No matter what,
Against the one’s,
The two’s and the three’s.
