There are definitely those who would prefer their girls to have long hair to short hair, but that in no way means that ALL guys prefer girls in long hair.
MOST guys do not give a fuck whether or not a girl has long or short hair. If she can pull it off, then SHE CAN PULL IT OFF!
Simple as that.
If femininity is deemed by the length of a girls hair, then all I can say is that society is seriously fucked.
When Asian girls tend to cut their hair short, MOST of them end up looking like a butch(BUT there are definitely the exceptions of course right?) compared to the Caucasians. Reason being, they have stronger facial features, PLUS I think they exhibit more confidence too.
Who the fuck cares what guys/others think when you cut your hair short or even decide to shave your head bald?
If you think it's nice, then it's nice. Feel confident in it. Period.
That's like saying ' Do girls prefer guys with long hair or short hair?'.
There are guys with long hair, and does that make them any feminine? Alright I've got to admit, some do look girly, but look at Brad Pitt in Troy, did his character with long hair, prevent ladies from salivating at the every movement of his Pantene commercial worthy hair? Hell no.
Most male rock stars have long hair, but does that mean they do not have groupies who go crazy over them? Of course not, they wanna get fucked hxc by them instead.
So dear Miss. G to the Cheng, snap out of your insecurities and start loving yourself, cos' coming from a guy, it's sheer confidence that makes a girl pretty/beautiful/sexy or whatever the fuck you wanna call it. I may not have seen you before, but whether or not you may look like a butch or a Chinese carbon copy of Agyness Deyn I wouldn't know.
If you still insist on wanting to know whether you look good in it, (cos I know for a fact that it's very hard for a girl to snap out of her insecurities) ask a male friend of yours whom you know for sure, is out right honest.
Don't bother asking your girlfriends.

well thanks jo, i've decided to keep my short hair, but maybe play around with it so i'll have something different everytime i step out of the hairdresser's!
actually my closer guy friends have told me a few times that i look better with short hair but i'm one of those people who're really hard to convince of something when the issue's personal :\ well perhaps someday we can meet up for coffee and you can be the better judge (:
